Our doctors
Dr. Michael Trimnell
A '78 graduate of the University of Ibadan (Nigeria), Dr. Michael Trimnell obtained his E.C.F.V.G. certification at the College of Veterinary Medicine of Iowa State University in 1991. He went on to secure licenses to practice veterinary medicine in New York, Illinois, Michigan, Iowa, and California. In 2002, Dr. Trimnell left the hectic megapolis of LA, where he had practiced for a decade, and co-founded Cal City Pet Clinic, right here in California City, together with Dr. Valerie Talleyrand. More than two decades later, he is still caring for the pets of the high desert.
Dr. Valerie Talleyrand
Dr. Valerie Talleyrand co-founded Cal City Pet Clinic together with Dr. Trimnell in 2002, and practices alongside him at both of our locations. [BIO NEEDED: a few sentences from Dr. Talleyrand, where she trained, what she loves about high-desert medicine.]
The team
Behind our doctors is the team that actually runs the place: the front desk that knows your name, the assistants who hold your pet like their own, and the folks who keep two clinics moving. Amanda, Carolyne, Carrie, Citlali, Danelle, Daniel, Myra (bilingual, and training to become a veterinarian), Ryley, Trinidad, and the rest of the crew have your back at both locations.
The same team works both locations, so these are the faces you'll see in California City and in Ridgecrest.

Susan
Our receptionist Susan's smile, delightful British accent, and humor greeted Cal City Pet Clinic clients and their pets since 2003. Her love for animals made Sue a central member of our team. She remains stamped in the heart of the Cal City Pet Clinic family.
